To promote the 2020 Edmonton International Film Festival, we embraced the oddities of the year with the It’s Weird Out There. Let’s Get Weirder campaign. Using quirky illustrations and bold, current headlines, we highlighted the festival’s unique programming as the perfect escape from the strangeness of the year. The campaign encouraged both in-person and online attendance, positioning the festival as the go-to destination for embracing the weird and wonderful in cinema.
